Robert J.W.Arnold (aka Bob) graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from The University of Western Ontario, London, ON in 1972, with a Birks Gold Medal. He studied under Tony Urquhart and Duncan De Kergommeaux.
For 33 years he was a Fine Arts Conservator at Canadian Conservation Institute in Ottawa where he restored paintings and other art objects for many museums and galleries across the country. All the while he continued to paint and develop his style.
In 2007 he retired from the Public Service of Canada. That opened the opportunity to finally work full time at his art. He is now concentrating on creating new art and establishing venues for showing his work publicly. He exhibits regularly at The Foyer Gallery, Nepean Sportsplex as a member of the Foyer Gallery Artists Association, with Arteast Ottawa at gallery spaces in the Shenkman Arts Centre and the St. Laurent Complex, and with the Nepean Fine Arts League at galleries in Ben Franklin Place.
